Last season Demetri Martin ended his Big Rapids Cardinal career with his head held high.
Leading the team in scoring since his sophomore year, the now Northwood Timberwolf left nothing on the court. He lead his team to the district final his sophomore season, the Breslin his junior year, and the districts his senior year. There wasn't much Demetri couldn't do for Coach Kent Ingles and the Cardinals.
Now Demetri gets to continue his playing career and education at Northwood University. There's no question he's earned a roster spot, but that's clearly not good enough for the college freshman. Demetri's making a serious case to start in his rookie season with Northwood. And he showcased it last Thursday with an 8pt, 6rd effort. However the Timberwolves couldn't keep pace with lightening fast 3rd ranked Bulldogs who piled on a 12pt win 88-60 including a 51-25 margin in the 2nd half alone.
Demetri Martin and the young Timberwolves are currently 3rd in the GLIAC South with 5 games to go in the regular season.
